JOB TITLE: CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT
COMPANY + ROLE OVERVIEW
The Flyway Companies are vertically integrated and consist of development, construction, management, real estate services, and live music/events. We are seeking a motivated, entry-level Construction Superintendent to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a degree in construction management, building sciences, or related fields - or someone with relevant leadership experience in the trades or maintenance - who wants to fast-track their growth in the construction and real estate industry. This role will coordinate a wide range of construction projects, gaining direct exposure to the full lifecycle of building projects for ground-up residential, general commercial, light industrial, and historic/adaptive re-use projects. You'll work closely with our Director of Construction, CEO, and COO who will provide professional development and mentorship. The primary role is performing on-site coordination of Flyway's construction projects to ensure appropriate sequencing, change management, and quality control. This role will be client-facing and will require good communication and organization. There is an opportunity to grow within the company from this role as the construction and development arms of the company grow, so our ideal candidates are individuals who want to advance their career over time.
Flyway has standard operating procedures to help new hires integrate into our operations smoothly, but we also promote each employee’s freedom to self manage and implement best practices that suit their individual work style. Our culture is close-knit, collaborative, and open-minded. We encourage people to spot issues and bring solutions and improvements to the table. We hold one another accountable to commonly held, high standards of performance. Therefore self motivation, positive attitude, strong problem solving, social skills, and cultural fit are critical to the success of every individual and the company. Due to Flyway’s vertical integration, every position within the company has exposure to and mobility through other areas of real estate and construction.
