Job Description

Overview: Choice Builders is seeking an experienced Skilled Laborer to support the successful and timely completion of a variety of residential and commercial construction projects. This position requires a motivated, hands-on individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to perform a broad range of construction tasks with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, maintaining a high safety standard on all job sites
• Load and unload construction materials, prepare and clean up job sites, and ensure safe, obstacle-free work areas
• Assemble and disassemble scaffolding and temporary structures
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and select heavy equipment including Dingo and forklifts
• Complete various skilled construction tasks such as:
• Drywall installation and finishing
• Tile work and flooring
• Interior and exterior painting
• Framing and general carpentry
• Deck and fence construction
• Window and door installation
• Cabinet installation
• Siding, masonry, and landscaping
• Collaborate with team members and assist equipment operators and other laborers as needed
• Learn on the job and participate in company-provided training opportunities
• Arrive on time, ready to work, and fulfill other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 3–5 years of experience in a skilled construction laborer role
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills; bilingual (Spanish-English) fluency strongly preferred
• Professional demeanor when interacting with clients, vendors, and coworkers

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
• Comfortable standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, and crawling for extended periods
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Availability to travel for extended projects or out-of-town assignments as needed
