Our Academic Model

Our academic model is unique and creates a very different and exciting place to work.   We provide diverse types of learning experiences such as Socratic seminars, small group instruction, hands-on labs and collaborative student projects. Team teaching is core to our model.  All math, ELA and Spanish teachers teach in teams where they plan together and work with students in larger spaces.  Teachers in other subjects are expected to plan collaboratively and often co-teach to support our special education and ESL students.  We use technology to personalize learning and to help students make deeper connections to content.  As a result of this structure, teachers are able to better assess and meet individual student need.

The Talent Recruitment Specialist is the leading force for sourcing and recruiting world class talent that joins the Intrinsic Schools team; the Talent Recruitment Specialist believes deeply that the skills and mindsets of educators significantly impacts a student’s academic experience and thus works relentlessly to pursue dynamic and driven teachers and leaders to advance Intrinsic Schools’ mission. The Talent Recruitment Specialist  spends their time actively garnering referrals and recommendations, engaging with educators at workshops, events and PD, and bringing more candidates into the Intrinsic School process. Above all else, the Talent Recruitment Specialist  authentically represents the values of Intrinsic Schools and supports candidates in discerning their next steps.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Talent Strategy
  • Coordinate with the hiring managers and HR Director to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria
  • Create job posts and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position; ensure interview process gives candidate engaging and insightful opportunity to learn about the role and responsibilities 
  • Lead weekly check-in meetings with the hiring managers to gain insight on hiring needs, candidates status and next steps
• Outreach and Cultivation
  • Facilitate and plan key candidate cultivation strategies such as school tours and site visits, regional happy hours, on-site workshops, and 1:1 engagement with current school leaders and staff to yield new candidates in overall talent pool
  • Use a variety of referral & recommendation campaigns to continuously generate new leads for open roles 
  • Source a robust and diverse pool of applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn, Indeed and other professional networks
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline
• Marketing
  • Manage and maintain job postings across a variety of platforms to ensure relevant and timely advertisement of open roles
  • Work closely with the Communications Team to develop and maintain a regular schedule of social media posts that promote job opportunities, highlight company culture, and support recruitment initiatives. Create engaging content—including videos, images, and written posts—for platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter).
  • Regularly review, update, and coordinate the reprinting of all recruitment-related collateral, including job fair displays, brochures, flyers, banners, and promotional items. Ensure that all materials reflect current branding, open positions, and organizational messaging.
  • Leverage community partners in sharing highest-need open roles to increase visibility of Intrinsic Schools as a destination employer 
• Screening
  • Conduct phone or virtual screens to identify and promote candidates in the hiring process
  • Compile lists of most-suitable candidates by assessing their resumes, portfolios, and references
  • Guide candidates through multi-step process that includes screening call, performance tasks, final interview, and reference check
  • Ensure timely communication with candidates and hiring team to swiftly lead candidates through next steps of their interview process
  • Maintain close communication with all considered candidates to establish relationships
  • Ensure candidates receive accurate information as it relates to salary, benefits, personnel policies that supports in their overall decision making Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to share with key stakeholders

Required Skills/Abilities

• Two or three years of experience in a talent Recruitment or similar role
• Experience in full-cycle recruiting or admissions, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
• Experience working in a K-12 institution preferred
• Proficiency with social media, resume databases, and professional networks
• Experience in using LinkedIn Talent Solutions, Indeed, JazzHR ATS to proactively source candidates preferred
• Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources management or similar field

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to travel locally and regionally to attend job fairs, recruitment events, and meetings.
• Must be able to lift and transport marketing materials, event displays, and supplies (up to 25 lbs).
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking may be required during events.
